Abu Dhabi’s Department of Health invited global partners, investors and innovators at the Milken Institute Global Conference on 7 May 2026 to use the emirate as a living lab to build, test and scale next-generation health solutions.

The announcement frames Abu Dhabi as a global test bed for AI-enabled real-world health innovation supported by an integrated intelligent health infrastructure. The Department of Health Abu Dhabi says it is combining genotype, phenotype and wearable data into an AI-enabled platform to accelerate drug discovery and to serve as a real-world evidence engine for assessing product impact in near real time, the company claims.

Officials highlighted the Unified Medical Operations Command Centre, or UMOC, as the operational hub for foresight and resilience and said AI agents within UMOC enable faster emergency response and continuous system monitoring; the company claims those agents multiply workforce capacity by forty times.

On the sidelines of the conference, the Department of Health Abu Dhabi met leaders in longevity, AI, biotechnology, pediatrics, genomics and investment under the Future Health initiative to discuss anticipatory systems, equitable access to predictive care and long-term financing models.
