ADDF launched the third phase of its Diagnostics Accelerator (DxA) in New York on March 17, 2026, backed by an additional $50 million that brings the initiative’s total to $150 million.
Launched in July 2018 by ADDF co-founder Leonard A. Lauder and Bill Gates, DxA 3.0 will focus on blood tests for tau and other co-pathologies, integrated multi-marker panels, AI-driven biomarkers and digital tools intended to accelerate drug development, enable combination therapies and support prevention strategies, the company claims.
The company says the phase includes renewed commitments from initial funders, including Biogen, the Dolby family, Eli Lilly and Company, and the Shanahan Family Foundation, along with new support from the JTMF Foundation and the Robertson Foundation.
Since its founding, DxA has invested $100 million across 76 programs worldwide and supported work that the company says led to a 2025 FDA approval of a DxA-funded Alzheimer’s blood test.
The company adds that DxA investments in C2N Diagnostics, Alamar Biosciences and the SpeechDx program aim to advance ultra-sensitive assays and longitudinal digital biomarkers to improve detection and monitoring.
