AliveCor has secured regulatory registration in Vietnam for its Kardia 12L electrocardiogram system powered by KAI 12L AI technology. The portable, AI-enabled 12-lead device is intended to deliver hospital-grade measurements and interpretations at the point of care; the company claims its measurements and ECG interpretations are highly similar to standard 12-lead ECG solutions and that the platform can help detect arrhythmias, acute myocardial infarction and common types of cardiac ischemia earlier.

AliveCor highlights a simplified five-electrode setup that reduces preparation time and typically avoids full disrobing, and the company cites research showing a nearly 30% reduction in ECG acquisition time compared with standard setups.

The registration is presented as supporting Vietnam’s digital health and hospital modernization priorities by enabling faster diagnostics in clinics, community health centers and outpatient settings.

Kardia 12L will sit alongside KardiaMobile and KardiaMobile 6L within AliveCor’s cardiovascular offering, the company says. AliveCor is a privately held medical device firm headquartered in Mountain View, Calif., with extensive clinical use of its Kardia devices.
