Alnylam will present new analyses of Vutrisiran for transthyretin-mediated amyloid cardiomyopathy at Heart Failure 2026, the European Society of Cardiology congress in Barcelona, 9-12 May 2026.
Presentations draw on Phase 3 HELIOS-B data and include a pharmacodynamic evaluation of TTR knockdown across subgroups, a pooled safety analysis assessing vitamin A-related outcomes across clinical trial and real-world datasets, and the design of DemonsTTRate, a global long-term observational study of real-world Vutrisiran use.
Additional abstracts examine effects on systolic blood pressure, outcomes in patients with and without atrial fibrillation or flutter, efficacy by sex, influence of disease-modifying therapy, and comorbidity burden.
These analyses continue to support Vutrisiran as a first-line treatment option for patients with ATTR-CM and note that Vutrisiran delivers rapid TTR knockdown in clinical studies. According to the company, Vutrisiran treatment reduces serum vitamin A, and patients should receive supplementation of approximately 2,500 to 3,000 IU per day and be referred to an ophthalmologist if ocular symptoms occur. Presentations are scheduled from 10-12 May at the congress.
