Amprion and Prema Cognition announced a collaboration to combine Prema Cognition’s PREMAZ digital precision memory assessment with Amprion’s seed amplification biomarker assays to create a patient assessment pathway linking remote or clinic-based cognitive screening to biomarker confirmation.
PREMAZ is a 10- to 15-minute digital cognitive test developed with the University of Cambridge Memory Lab that measures memory precision and can be completed on a desktop or tablet.
The companies plan to use PREMAZ as an accessible front end to identify individuals for confirmatory testing with Amprion’s SAAmplify-αSYN assay and other molecular diagnostics.
SAAmplify-αSYN is a qualitative laboratory-developed seed amplification assay that received FDA Breakthrough Device designation in 2019 and became commercially available in the United States in 2021.
The collaboration is presented as part of Amprion’s Neuro-Convergence Initiative and is intended to support earlier assessment, clinical research, pharmaceutical development and potential integration into healthcare pathways.
