Antag Therapeutics will present clinical and preclinical data on AT7687, its first-in-class GIP receptor antagonist peptide, at the 2026 Scientific Sessions of the American Diabetes Association in New Orleans, scheduled for 5-8 June, with an oral presentation and a poster on 7 June.
The oral presentation covers first-in-human results in healthy subjects and people living with obesity; the company claims the data demonstrate AT7687 is well tolerated and suitable for once-weekly subcutaneous injection in people living with obesity.
The poster presents preclinical findings on combining AT7687 with cagrilintide, with the company claiming robust weight loss and substantial improvements in insulin sensitivity and body composition in obese insulin-resistant non-human primates.
According to the company, the AT7687 Phase 1 trial has been completed, and Phase 2a studies are expected to start in mid-2026. The company also notes a Series A financing round of €80 million, led by Versant Ventures, to support its development program.
