Atria Health is playing a central role in a newly announced partnership with Stern Cardiovascular to expand access to advanced cardiac care across the Mid-South, according to the company. The collaboration combines Stern’s clinical expertise with Atria Health’s operational and strategic capabilities to support service expansion, new site development and physician recruitment across Tennessee, Mississippi and Arkansas.
According to the company, Atria Health’s model is designed to help independent cardiology practices grow while maintaining full physician ownership and control. The firm provides capital, infrastructure and operational expertise to enable practices to expand clinical services, improve efficiency and navigate increasing administrative and reimbursement complexity in the healthcare system.
The company positions itself as an alternative to traditional private equity models by investing in, but not acquiring, physician practices. This structure allows cardiologists to retain autonomy while accessing resources needed to scale operations, introduce new capabilities such as ambulatory surgical centers and adopt value-based care models, the company claims.
Atria Health’s involvement in the partnership is intended to unlock growth opportunities for Stern Cardiovascular by supporting geographic expansion and enhancing access to advanced diagnostics, rehabilitation and long term cardiac care. The company said its approach focuses on building sustainable, physician led organizations that can meet rising demand for cardiovascular services while addressing cost pressures and access gaps in regional healthcare markets.
Atria Health is a physician owned organization that partners with cardiovascular specialists to develop independent, patient centered care models supported by technology, operational infrastructure and long term strategic investment.
