Beyond Celiac Investments (BCI), the venture philanthropy program of Beyond Celiac, announced an investment in Tolerance Bio Inc. to support advancement of its celiac disease program through early development and preclinical proof of concept.
The funding will support Tolerance Bio’s approach to restoring immune tolerance by targeting the thymus, aiming to retrain the immune system rather than manage symptoms.
Tolerance Bio is developing therapies designed to preserve, restore and modulate thymic function, including monoclonal antibodies, cell therapies and mRNA approaches.
This investment is BCI’s second as it builds a portfolio of preclinical and clinical-stage programs focused on accelerating treatments for celiac disease.
