Beacon Biosignals’ neuroscience team will participate in the American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology Annual Meeting in Miami from 26 to 29 May, where first author Sarah Stankowicz will present research on machine learning-based detection of sleep arousals using an at-home EEG device in patients with and without antidepressant use.
The company describes its Waveband platform as a 510(k) FDA-cleared at-home EEG headband. The company claims Waveband’s ML-powered analytics can identify clinically meaningful sleep biomarkers with performance comparable to expert raters, including in major depressive disorder populations receiving therapy.
According to the company, it positions this capability as relevant for supporting sleep endpoints in central nervous system clinical trials and invites meeting attendees to connect with its team or schedule discussions via its website.
