Better U and Evernow announced a strategic telehealth partnership to integrate menopause and mental health care across the United States.
The collaboration pairs Evernow’s menopause and hormone therapy expertise with Better U’s integrative psychiatry, therapy and whole-body wellness services.
The initiative brings together Dr Ellamarie Russo-DeMara, medical director at Evernow and a board-certified OB/GYN and Menopause Society Certified Practitioner, and Dr Janette Leal, executive physician and medical director at Better U Clinical and a board-certified psychiatrist with geriatric psychiatry fellowship training.
The companies say the partnership intends to address gaps in care by treating physical and emotional aspects of perimenopause and menopause as a connected experience.
Through the collaboration, women with depression or anxiety that has not improved with other treatments can be evaluated for Better U’s at-home ketamine therapy. Each patient is screened by a licensed psychiatric clinician and, when clinically appropriate, ketamine may be prescribed off-label and paired with integration coaching and ongoing support.
The partnership also supports expanded hormone monitoring and more proactive, preventive care for women.
