C2N Diagnostics announced it has received a strategic equity investment from Eisai Inc. to support its blood-based diagnostic platform for Alzheimer’s disease. According to the company, the investment will accelerate development and commercialization of its Precivity tests, which measure biomarkers associated with amyloid pathology.
The company said its flagship PrecivityAD blood test is already available to healthcare providers and aids in evaluating patients with cognitive impairment. C2N Diagnostics claims that ongoing research aims to expand the platform to broader patient populations and earlier disease stages.
According to the company, the funding from Eisai will also help advance its multi-analyte biomarker strategy and enable new product development, including tools to monitor treatment response and disease progression.
C2N Diagnostics said its collaboration with Eisai aligns with shared goals to improve timely and accurate Alzheimer’s diagnosis through accessible blood testing. The company claims these efforts could support patient selection for clinical trials and optimize use of disease-modifying therapies.
The company noted that it remains independently operated and will continue to partner with multiple organizations across the neurodegenerative disease field. C2N Diagnostics claims the investment will further its mission to transform care for patients at risk of or living with Alzheimer’s disease.
