C2N Diagnostics reported the first application of its eMTBR-tau243 plasma assay within the Evoke and Evoke+ Phase 3 dataset, with results presented at the AD/PD 2026 Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Diseases Conference.
The analysis incorporated the Research Use Only eMTBR-tau243 assay alongside p-tau217 in trial participants. According to the company, baseline levels of p-tau217 and eMTBR-tau243 each showed independent associations with longitudinal measures of cognitive and functional decline, and the two biomarkers provided complementary information when assessed together.
The company claims the inclusion of eMTBR-tau243 in Evoke/Evoke+ analyses reflects growing interest in tau biology for predicting which patients with early symptomatic Alzheimer’s disease may progress more quickly, a finding the company says could inform future precision medicine strategies.
C2N also noted ongoing development of tau-related research tools, including early elements of its PrecivityTauDx program. According to the company, its high-resolution mass spectrometry assays have been used in more than 200 Alzheimer’s and related research studies, and over 90,000 Precivity-related biomarker measures have been reported through peer-reviewed publications. The company emphasized continued scientific collaborations and support for academic and biopharma partners.
