EyePoint Pharmaceuticals has appointed Michael Campbell as its Chief Commercial Officer, placing him in charge of commercial strategy and launch preparedness for DURAVYU (vorolanib intravitreal insert), an investigational treatment currently in Phase 3 development for wet age‑related macular degeneration and diabetic macular edema, according to the company.
The company said Campbell brings more than 30 years of commercial leadership experience in ophthalmology, including roles overseeing product launches and franchise management for retinal disease therapies, and will report directly to the President and CEO while serving on EyePoint’s executive leadership team.
According to the company, his responsibilities will include leading commercial planning and readiness as EyePoint progresses toward pivotal data readouts for DURAVYU expected to begin in mid‑2026, supporting potential U.S. market entry once regulatory approvals are secured.
The company granted Campbell stock options as an inducement award, with terms designed to align his long‑term incentives with corporate objectives, including vesting over four years.
EyePoint is a clinical‑stage biopharmaceutical firm focused on developing and commercializing therapeutics for serious retinal diseases. Its lead product candidate, DURAVYU, combines a selective tyrosine kinase inhibitor with sustained‑delivery technology and remains investigational, with regulatory and clinical milestones pending.
