Fibrobiologics announced it has secured a $100 million capital commitment from GEM Global Yield as it plans to go public. According to the company, the agreement allows it to draw funds over a 36-month period following a public listing on a national stock exchange.
The company said it intends to use the capital to advance its pipeline of fibroblast-based cell therapies targeting chronic diseases including multiple sclerosis, degenerative disc disease and certain cancers. Fibrobiologics claims its approach leverages the regenerative and immunomodulatory properties of fibroblast cells to address conditions with limited treatment options.
According to the company, the funding structure provides flexibility by allowing it to issue shares to GEM as needed, subject to certain conditions. Fibrobiologics said this arrangement could help support clinical trials, preclinical research and general corporate activities.
The company claims this commitment strengthens its financial position as it prepares to enter public markets and progress its therapeutic candidates. Fibrobiologics also noted it aims to build a diversified pipeline targeting significant unmet medical needs through fibroblast cell therapy.
The company said the transaction reflects ongoing investor interest in regenerative medicine and its potential to transform treatment for chronic and age-related diseases.
