Genflow announced that its SLAB (Sarcopenia and Longevity in Aged Beagles) clinical trial met its primary endpoint.
The randomized, blinded study enrolled 24 beagle dogs aged over 10 years, allocated to four groups: two naked DNA treatment cohorts at different dose levels, a single-dose AAV8 group, and a saline control group.
The primary endpoint was reduction in biological age as measured by the GRIM methylation clock, and treated animals showed improvement relative to controls.
These findings follow preliminary interim muscle data reported in February 2026 and a sustained safety and efficacy assessment at the three-month follow-up in April 2026.
Detailed trial results and key mechanistic analyses will be presented at the Animal Longevity Summit in Toronto on 2 October 2026, according to the company.
Genflow also states that the outcome strengthens the case for its SIRT6 centenarian naked DNA therapy, GF-1002, for addressing age-related decline in companion animals and that it is engaging with Tier-1 animal health partners on licensing, co-development and commercialization opportunities.
