Hengrui Pharma and Kailera Therapeutics will present clinical data at the American Diabetes Association 86th Scientific Sessions in New Orleans, 5–8 June 2026.
The two abstracts focus on ribupatide, a GLP-1/GIP receptor dual agonist being developed as a once-weekly injection and a once-daily oral tablet for the treatment of obesity and overweight.
Hengrui will present Phase 2 results for oral ribupatide in adults with obesity on June 7 in a general poster session, and Kailera will present data from a Phase 1 randomized, double-blind, single-ascending dose bridging study of KAI-9531 on June 8 in a general poster session; both sessions are scheduled 12:30–1:30 p.m. CT.
The company claims the Phase 1 bridging data supported initiation of Kailera’s ongoing global Phase 3 KaiNETIC program, and Kailera is advancing the ribupatide franchise to provide oral and injectable options with an emphasis on weight loss and tolerability.
Abstracts will be published in the journal Diabetes and presentations will be accessible on Kailera’s scientific publications section following the congress.
