Hone Health announced a partnership with BodySpec to integrate clinical-grade DEXA body composition scans into its personalized OS for longevity.
Patients can purchase a BodySpec DEXA scan within the Hone Patient app and have results securely synced into the Hone platform, where a Hone clinician reviews findings and incorporates body composition, bone density, visceral fat and resting metabolic rate data into longitudinal care plans.
BodySpec has completed more than 600,000 scans and operates a network of clinics and mobile scan vans, the company says.
DEXA scans provide measurements of total and regional body fat, visceral fat mass, lean muscle mass, bone density and resting metabolic rate. The integration is presented as a way to move screening earlier than the traditional post-65 osteoporosis use case.
The BodySpec integration follows Hone’s Prenuvo whole body MRI partnership and extends Hone’s strategy of combining biomarker testing, imaging and physician-led treatment within an AI-enabled platform.
