Human Longevity, Inc. announced the creation of Human Life Foundation Models, Inc. (HLFM), a new entity focused on developing large multimodal foundation models for human health and longevity.
HLFM’s first strategic collaboration is a multi-year, multi-million dollar agreement with Insilico Medicine to combine Human Longevity’s de-identified multi-omic, imaging, clinical and longitudinal datasets with Insilico Medicine’s generative AI and deep learning technologies.
The companies aim to build foundation models to predict disease risk, decode aging biology, accelerate discovery of preventive and therapeutic interventions, and support personalized longevity care, according to the company.
The collaboration is structured around a privacy-preserving AI architecture in which raw patient-level data remain with original owners and custodians and are not transferred or centralized, and Insilico Medicine will not have direct access to identifiable personal health data.
The announcement cites a broader market opportunity, noting UBS research that estimates global longevity-related spending could grow from about $5.3 trillion to nearly $8 trillion by 2030. HLFM will coordinate model development within secure decentralized environments while Insilico contributes AI architecture, benchmark systems and training infrastructure.
