At the American Thoracic Society 2026 meeting, Insilico presented a Phase 1 study design poster for inhaled Rentosertib (INS018_055), an AI-generated TNIK inhibitor being developed for pulmonary fibrosis.
The company posted that an additional poster will present preclinical efficacy data from animal studies showing improved lung function and reductions in fibrosis and inflammation, according to the company. Insilico framed the program as part of a generative AI-driven drug discovery workflow that integrates target identification, molecule design, translational science and early clinical development.
Market commentary in the release notes that advancing an AI-derived asset into human studies could increase perceived platform value and may support partnerships, non-dilutive funding or strategic collaborations if safety and efficacy signals emerge.
The company also described its platform as a continuous learning system intended to generate multiple assets beyond INS018_055, a strategy that could affect its competitive position among AI-first biotechs.
