Rznomics presented interim clinical data for RZ-001 at AACR 2026 on April 19, 2026, in San Diego, reporting RECIST v1.1 objective response rates of 38.5% (confirmed) and 46.2% (unconfirmed) for RZ-001 combined with atezolizumab and bevacizumab in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma who were refractory to or ineligible for transarterial chemoembolization and had not received prior systemic therapy.

By mRECIST criteria, the objective response rate was 61.5% with a complete response rate of 23%. Safety data attributed five Grade 3 or higher adverse events to the combination agents (hypertension, two cases; proteinuria; hyperglycemia; and gastrointestinal bleeding) and reported no Grade 3 or higher adverse events attributed to RZ-001.

According to the company, the results suggest a favorable safety profile for RZ-001 and encouraging antitumor activity, supporting further clinical development of its RNA trans-splicing ribozyme platform.

The oral presentation was delivered by Professor Yoon-Jun Kim of Seoul National University Hospital.
