Life Time is introducing SpiroFit metabolic testing across its 190 athletic country clubs in the U.S. and Canada. The rollout follows a pilot at select Minnesota clubs in late 2025 and expands Life Time’s provision of VO2 max and metabolic testing in club settings, which the company says began in 2005.
SpiroFit is described as a cordless wearable metabolic testing mask that allows members to move naturally on treadmills, rowers and other equipment while delivering lab-grade oxygen and fuel-use data.
The system generates a personalized five-zone heart-rate training profile intended to support workouts, weight management and performance.
Life Time integrates results into in-club coaching, Dynamic Personal Trainer plans and Signature Group Training classes, including UltraFit, GTX, Alpha and a new HybridXT class. The company claims SpiroFit’s accuracy has been validated within one to three percent. Members can book active metabolic assessments at club training desks.
