Immortal Dragons has made a strategic investment in Renewal Bio, an Israeli regenerative medicine company building a patient-matched cell platform.
The $40 million purpose-driven longevity fund’s backing supports Renewal Bio’s Stembroid platform, which the company claims produces cells by harnessing developmental programs that form them naturally in the body.
Renewal Bio was founded in 2022 as a spinout of the Weizmann Institute of Science and holds an exclusive license to the platform from the institute.
The company describes a process that reprograms ordinary skin or blood cells into stem cells and then allows those stem cells to self-organize into a three-dimensional model of early human development without the use of sperm or eggs, enabling target cell types to emerge via natural developmental cues rather than forced chemical instructions.
The press release references work from Professor Jacob Hanna’s laboratory at the Weizmann Institute, which the company notes has published in Nature, Cell and Cell Stem Cell and reported embryo-model advances, including mouse embryo models developed without genetic modification in 2025.
Immortal Dragons framed its investment within a Replacement Strategy thesis focused on replacing aged or failing tissues to extend healthy life.
