NeuroVision announced the acquisition of Durin Life Sciences, combining Durin’s Duritect blood-based diagnostic tests with NeuroVision’s retinal imaging technology and its BrainHealth.net telehealth patient engagement platform.

The combined enterprise will operate under the NeuroVision name and remain led by Steven Verdooner, co-founder and CEO, with Durin majority owner Ric Edelman joining the board. The companies say the integration aims to accelerate development and commercialization of diagnostic solutions for Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and related neurological disorders.

Duritect can enable earlier detection and monitoring, in some cases years before symptoms. NeuroVision will pair its telehealth-enabled cognitive assessment, care navigation and longitudinal brain health programs with Durin’s biomarker science to support patient access and longitudinal management.

NeuroVision, founded in 2010 and based in Sacramento, frames the deal as creating an integrated diagnostics and care platform to advance earlier intervention and scalable brain health programs.
