NorthStrive Biosciences, a subsidiary of PMGC Holdings Inc., announced positive Phase III results from its AI-driven drug discovery program with Yuva Biosciences.
According to the company, Phase III biologically validated a focused set of small-molecule candidates selected by Yuva’s MitoNova AI platform using an in vitro assay in primary human skeletal muscle cells that measured ANT1 protein expression.
The results package prepared by Yuva identified four compounds, C1 through C4, that increased ANT1 expression; the company claims the strongest candidates showed dose-dependent induction with reported increases up to +50% for C2, +48% for C4, +46% for C1 and +29% for C3 at the highest tested dose.
Yuva recommended advancing the four validated candidates into a more mature, energy-demanding skeletal muscle model for confirmatory testing to further de-risk development.
NorthStrive frames the work as part of a broader muscle preservation strategy that includes its lead asset, EL-22, and potential relevance to muscle health during metabolic stress.
The company cautioned that the findings are preliminary, based on in vitro testing, and there is no assurance that candidates will show similar activity in further studies or lead to regulatory approvals.
