Tune Therapeutics will present late-breaking Phase 1b/2a results for its lead investigational product TUNE-401 at the European Association for the Study of the Liver Congress 2026 in Barcelona, with an oral late-breaker presentation by Edward J. Gane scheduled for 30 May at 13:30 CEST (abstract LB26-5076; presentation LBO-003).
According to the company, the data provide the first clinical evidence of epigenetic silencing of hepatitis B virus transcriptional reservoir cccDNA and demonstrate deep and durable antiviral activity for TUNE-401, a first-in-class epigenetic silencer developed using Tune’s TEMPO platform.
The release notes that lipid nanoparticle technology for TUNE-401 was provided by Acuitas Therapeutics. The company frames the approach as a potential finite therapy for chronic hepatitis B.
