Nura Bio completed a $73.8 million Series B financing led by The Column Group, with participation from Euclidean Capital, Samsara BioCapital and Sanofi Ventures.

The financing will fund clinical proof-of-biology studies across Nura Bio’s pipeline, including the Phase 1b/2a study of NB-4746, an oral brain-penetrant SARM1 inhibitor for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, for which the first patient has been dosed, according to the company.

Dosing has also been initiated in a first-in-human study of NB-9402, a next-generation oral covalent allosteric SARM1 inhibitor that the company expects to complete a Phase 1a study in healthy volunteers in 2026.

The company claims NB-4746 prevented axon degeneration in multiple preclinical models and demonstrated a favorable safety profile with target plasma and cerebrospinal fluid exposure in a Phase 1 study in healthy volunteers.

Nura Bio positions its small molecule programs to halt axon degeneration and modulate microglial responses across central, peripheral and ocular nervous system diseases.
