Remission Medical has closed a Series A funding round led by Blue Heron Capital to expand its virtual rheumatology partnerships across U.S. health systems. Announced on 13 April 2026, the investment will be used to grow the company’s health system partner network, recruit and onboard clinical staff, and scale the operational infrastructure that supports rapid deployment of rheumatology services.
The company frames its model as embedding Advanced Practice Providers inside health system workflows and operating within existing electronic medical records, payer contracts, and clinical protocols to establish specialty service lines more quickly.
Remission Medical highlights RemissionOS, an AI-native workforce platform it says automates referral intake, scheduling, documentation support, revenue cycle operations, and performance reporting to manage a distributed clinical workforce across multiple system environments.
The company currently lists major partners, including Sentara, OrthoVirginia, WellSpan, Ochsner, Campbell Clinic, Gundersen, MultiCare, and St. Francis.
According to the company, rheumatic diseases affect more than 54 million Americans, and patients face average waits of more than two months for a first specialist appointment. The Series A follows what the company claims was triple-digit growth and geographic expansion, and the firm says proceeds will support initial moves into adjacent specialties in the coming months.
