Suzhou-based Ribo has entered a strategic collaboration with Insilico Medicine to accelerate development of siRNA therapeutics, the companies announced 12 May 2026.
Under the agreement Ribo (06938.HK) and Insilico Medicine (03696.HK) will combine Ribo’s siRNA development capabilities and Insilico Medicine’s ai-powered Pharma.AI platform to collaborate on target discovery, drug molecule design and optimization, ai-assisted development and clinical translation.
The partners will advance demonstration projects and translate research achievements to speed siRNA research and development through AI+siRNA joint innovation, the company claims.
The release describes siRNA drugs as able to precisely silence pathogenic genes with a broad target spectrum, rapid digital design and short development cycles and high patient compliance due to ultra-long duration, a characterization the company claims has positioned siRNA as a third wave of modern pharmaceuticals. Insilico’s automated LifeStar 2 laboratory platform will provide high-throughput experimental support, and Ribo is identified as the first partner for those services, according to the company.
