Ribo has submitted a Phase 2 clinical trial application to the European Medicines Agency for RBD1119, a small interfering RNA therapeutic candidate for coronary artery disease, the company announced 28 May 2026.

The filing, made by Suzhou Ribo Life Science and Ribocure Pharmaceuticals, advances RBD1119 into the next stage of clinical development in Europe and is part of Ribo’s broader anticoagulation and antithrombotic program.

According to the company, Ribo is advancing multiple siRNA candidates in parallel across atrial fibrillation and venous thromboembolism and seeks to address what it describes as a substantial residual thrombotic risk in patients with stable coronary artery disease despite standard antiplatelet and anticoagulant therapies.

The company highlighted bleeding risk as a limiting factor for current therapies and framed RBD1119 as an investigational approach aimed at providing sustained antithrombotic protection with a favorable safety profile. Suzhou Ribo Life Science is listed under the stock code 06938.HK.
