Allergan Aesthetics, an AbbVie company, presented results from two single-center clinical studies evaluating targeted skincare regimens alone and combined with DiamondGlow dermabrasion in individuals taking medical weight loss medications, including GLP-1 receptor agonists, at the Science of Skin Summit on 17-20 Sept. 2026, in Austin, Texas.

The 12-week skincare study included nine participants who completed the protocol and the six-week DiamondGlow plus skincare study included 11 participants with at least one post-treatment assessment.

The company claims investigator-assessed, statistically significant improvements in selected skin quality measures across the face, neck, upper inner arms and distal thighs, with changes observed as early as week two in the 12-week study and immediately after DiamondGlow treatment in the six-week study.

The skincare regimen comprised a growth factor serum, a neck cream and a firming and toning body lotion.

Participants reported high satisfaction and perceived facial skin to appear roughly 10 years younger after four weeks of twice-daily serum use and about 7.5 years younger after three DiamondGlow treatments plus six weeks of topical care.

The company notes these are early data and additional research in larger populations is needed.
