SpectraCell Laboratories introduced Baseline Nexus, a proprietary in-depth health assessment test designed to establish a deep, actionable baseline across nutrition, cardiovascular risk, genetics and biological aging.
The firm describes the test as measuring intracellular metabolism rather than only circulating blood analytes; the analytical technique uses metabolically active peripheral lymphocytes to measure DNA synthesis in a culture medium that contains no serum or protein, the company claims.
SpectraCell says this approach aims to uncover functional intracellular defects that can hinder mitogenic responses and cell-mediated immune functions. Baseline Nexus includes analysis of micronutrient deficiencies, lipoprotein particle profile, telomere length and MTHFR genotyping. The test is offered for integration into medical practices and direct-to-consumer use, and is targeted at clinicians seeking data to guide interventions as well as individuals focused on longevity, performance and early risk detection. SpectraCell notes it has provided specialized diagnostic testing for more than 30 years.
