Stimulate your brain and boost your longevity

NeoRhythm uses electromagnetic pulses to help you improve your sleep, manage pain, reduce stress and more.

Slovenian start-up OmniPEMF is aiming to help people improve their mental and physical wellbeing with its ground breaking NeoRhythm wearable device. NeoRhythm uses electromagnetic pulses to stimulate different areas of the brain by “suggesting” frequencies for your brainwaves to follow.

Longevity.Technology: From chronic pain to sleeplessness, the role that our brain plays in our health span cannot be underestimated; but what if there were a way to influence the way our brain operates to help us overcome some of these debilitating conditions? We caught up with OmniPEMF’s founder and CEO Marko Kadunc to find out how NeoRhythm works.

The frequency of the brainwaves emitted by our brain changes depending on our current state of mind. When slower brainwaves are dominant, we can feel tired, sluggish, or dreamy. Conversely, when higher frequencies are dominant, we may feel wired or hyper-alert. The core science behind NeoRhythm is the concept of “entrainment”, which is the ability to synchronise these brainwave frequencies using external stimulation, such as electromagnetic fields.

The NeoRhythm device uses pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) therapy, a non-invasive procedure that uses electromagnetic induction to stimulate specific areas of the brain by creating frequencies for the brainwaves to follow. Slower frequencies are suggested to help you sleep or relax, for example, and higher frequencies to help you focus or stay alert.
“The PEMF field has been thoroughly studied through the years and is proven to be a safe and non-invasive way to approach chronic or acute pain and brain health,” says Kadunc. “NeoRhythm uses PEMF technology at frequencies that occur in nature and are not disruptive, meaning your body knows how to handle them.”

“ … with five coils, NeoRythym can suggest the best possible mix of all frequencies to help you to achieve your desired state of mind … ”

Uniquely, NeoRhythm uses five strategically positioned, magnetic-field-generating inverted coils, which target different regions of the brain and spinal cord. This means that NeoRhythm covers the most extensive stimulation area of any consumer device on the market.

“Other consumer devices only use two coils but, with five coils, NeoRythym can suggest the best possible mix of all frequencies to help you to achieve your desired state of mind,” says Kadunc. “And we do this at a very low intensity, to ensure absolute safety.”

With no buttons or wires, NeoRhythm is controlled via a mobile app and gestures. A simple tap of the device gives it instructions, which vibrates and uses coloured lights in response to your commands. For each different program, different areas of the brain must be stimulated, so the NeoRhythm headband is placed in different positions on your head – as displayed in the mobile app.

With 11,000 devices already sold worldwide, NeoRhythm has already built an active community of around 5,000 customers online.

“It’s great because we don’t have to manage this community – our customers are now helping each other with suggestions and new ways to use the device,” says Kadunc.
The company is now gearing up for significant expansion of its consumer product, and also has plans to release further products for specific medical purposes.

“NeoRhythm is now being sold in 112 countries and, for the moment, we are mostly registered as a wellness device,” says Kadunc. “But by June 2021, we will also have a medical device on the US market for the treatment of pain.”
