Winona released its State of Menopause 2026 research, analyzing more than 100,000 de-identified patient intake assessments collected between 1 May 2025 and 28 February 2026.
The analysis found that women seeking menopause care report an average of nine concurrent symptoms, with a maximum symptom load of 16 and three in four reporting six or more symptoms at once, according to the company.
Key findings include that 79% of patients report energy loss, 75% report weight gain, 71% report fatigue, nearly 70% report brain fog, 69% report sleep issues and 44% report hot flashes. The research also found 56% fall into a combined brain fog and fatigue pattern, 71% report a genitourinary syndrome of menopause burden, and 77.5% said they lived with symptoms for at least one year before finding care.
The research identified patient treatment preferences—67.5% prefer pills, 25.8% creams and 6.5% patches—and highlighted prolonged gaps between symptom onset and care.
