Ten ingredients, one capsule. JUVICELL is on a mission to deliver an all-in-one longevity supplement.
Far from just supplementing their diet to ensure an adequate intake of vitamins and minerals, people are waking up to the idea that they can supplement their longevity and take a range of compounds to maximise both their healthspan and their lifespan.
Longevity.Technology: Nobody wants ten different bottles to open every morning, or to have to research what combination is most efficacious – and this is where JUVICELL comes in, with their mission to deliver an “all-in-one longevity supplement”.
We spoke to Erin Sharoni, co-founder of JUVICELL to find out more about their ethos that “age is just a number” and their commitment to prolonging and improving healthspan and lifespan. Erin is a Master’s degree candidate in Biology at Harvard University, where her thesis work is focused on epigenetics and longevity and she is passionate about bringing longevity opportunities to a wider market.
JUVICELL launched in December 2020, marketed as the “first longevity supplement of its kind”. We were keen to find out from Erin how the company was founded and what sets JUVICELL apart in an increasingly-crowded market. The idea for JUVICELL was first thought of in 2019 and brought to life by a US-German co-operation of scientists and a like-minded investor with a strong personal interest in the space of longevity.

“JUVICELL was founded on the premise that living a longer, healthier life can be a reality for many of us,” Erin told us. “The scientific revelations and breakthroughs in the longevity industry have been enormous over the last decade (Hallmarks of Aging, research into compounds that have a beneficial effect on aging, etc.). We wanted to find a way to let the average person benefit from these advancements – and this is how JUVICELL was born.”
“JUVICELL was founded on the premise that living a longer, healthier life can be a reality for many of us…”
Rather than having to actively monitor scientific studies and papers and then, based on that, selecting individual compounds to supplement with, JUVICELL felt that there was a need for a product which is formulated on the latest available science and updates its formula from time to time once the scientific consensus is strong enough for any given new compound.
JUVICELL is also currently conducting a pre-clinical study in cooperation with the Italian Ministry of Health and Aging (INRCA), to confirm the safety profile and effects of JUVICELL on various physiological markers of aging.

The ten ingredients that make up JUVICELL are:
- Sulforaphone – a sulphur-rich compound found in cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, kale and cabbage.
- Pterostilbene – found in antioxidant-rich foods like blueberries, cranberries and grapes.
- Fisetin – found in a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, nuts and wines.
- Curcumin – found in turmeric.
- Glucosamine – one of the most abundant simple sugars found in nature and most commonly found in bones and bone marrow, as well as some fermented grains.
- Green tea extract
- Resveratrol – found in pistachios, grapes, red and white wine, blueberries, cranberries and even cocoa and dark chocolate.
- Coenzyme Q10, also known as CoQ10 – found in organ meats like liver, as well as some legumes, nuts, seeds and vegetables.
- Quercetin – one of the most abundant antioxidant compounds in the diet, quercetin is found in fruits, vegetables and grains.
- Piperine – found in black pepper, white pepper and long pepper.
“We started with a detailed analysis of published scientific literature in order to gather a shortlist of compounds which was then further refined,” Erin told Longevity.Technology. “The dosing of the 10 ingredients in JUVICELL is based on a number of peer-reviewed scientific studies conducted in human and animal models that specify dosages for each compound that were shown to be safe and effective.”
Other longevity supplements contain NMN or NR, and this is something on which JUVICELL is keeping a weather eye.
“We are monitoring NMN and NR closely, but feel that at this stage, there is not quite enough publicly-available evidence for long-term use in humans,” Erin explained. “It’s an evolving landscape. We decided to only include compounds in JUVICELL that have a strong evidence-based safety and efficacy profile, and we continue to closely monitor the science for changes.”

The JUVICELL team are hoping to expand the business as they go along. “Our long-term goal is to make JUVICELL the number one brand for over-the-counter longevity. We believe that it will continue to grow, especially in Europe, where supplementing with nutraceuticals for longevity is only just beginning to gain popularity,” said Erin.
“JUVICELL should be seen as an adjunctive therapy, not as a replacement for all of the other things people need to be doing to support healthy aging (i.e. nutrition, sleep, exercise, mental health, etc),” Erin told us. “In terms of measurement of results, there are certain things that can already be monitored in a doctor’s “retail setting” like blood glucose levels or inflammation markers. We believe that in the future, there will be many more clinical measurements that can be done in order to determine changes at the cellular level (i.e. markers of epigenetic aging, etc.).
“The surface-level benefits can vary from person-to-person though. Anecdotally, some of our customers list improved sleep, benefits in productivity and better mood and clarity as benefits they experienced after taking JUVICELL for a few weeks. We are conducting a pre-clinical study in order to validate self-reported results like these in the future.”
Erin told us that a growing interest in healthcare, and of course the coronavirus pandemic, have led to more people actively looking for ways to improve their health. “The fact that they have more time to spend in front of a screen probably helps drive interest as well,” she added.
